World: While our planet still goes by Earth this story takes place in the distance future several hundred years after a great cataclysm has occurred changing the landscape of the world and how people live.
The Valley City of Abbeyveil: The largest known city to date after the cataclysm. The city was founded by the prophet Abbey Veil a man who believed he was connected to the earth and could find safe haven for his pure people. Because of Abbeyveils history it is 'blessed' as many people say by strong winds that keep out any toxins. The land here is fertile and the water clean allowing the city to thrive into a bustling metropolis highest advancements in technology and all of it steam-run. The entire city is surrounded mountains to the north, south, east but the west has a large man maid wall and gate to keep out attacker. The wall is considered responsible for the city's victory during the 5 decades of war. A peaceful place it is separated into several sections each devoted to its own class of people and jobs.
East Quarter: The Eastern most part of the city is entirely dedicated to agriculture. Low class citizens work here but allot of the care is done mechanically.
North Quarter: This is where Low Class Residents live. Consider this the slums. People here get by with what they can and there isn't a single street where you won't find be able to find a bar or something illegal.
South Quarter: This where the High class residents live. They often get pampered and cared for and there is not a day that goes by where they have to worry. They have there own special homes and places of resident but also have ties and shops in the Western shopping district.
West Quarter: This is where the entrance gate and central city market resides. Few people live in this area but those that do either run a hotel for those that come to the city as guests or vendors. You can set up shops here or stay the night whichever you wish. There are trading stands and more permanents shops as well. This is also by far the most colorful place in the city as many shop owners seemed to have made it there goal to outshine the competition by painting there building... And if they don't well then there's a high chance some kids from the Low class district will.
Central Quarter: This is where you can find the nobles and knights. Nobles generally run the city and therefor live in high class lofts and works in large scale buildings like the ones that use to often adorns the old cities before the cataclysm. Knights also live and work here though not as well as nobles. Knights are highly regarded as they work to keep order and balance in the whole of the city within the Knights there are there own ranking system but generally most Knights live around here.
Veil Mansion: The Veil line goes back to the prophet Abbey Veil the city founder and as you may have guessed his descendents still to this day run the city with the help with the high nobles. The heirs of the Veil household are permanently escorted around by The Veils Knight a special job classification that goes into the class of being born a Knight (check out character options to understand this better). Because the Veil heirs are so highly protected it is rare you will ever see them until they have come of age. Despite this fact though the entire Veil family is revered and loved.
The Marble Cove Bar: This Bar is the most famous one in the city. Located in the North end of the city in the low class district the bar is literally a large hole in the side of the mountains north of the city. While the outside looks like a normal ramshackle place the inside is always perfect temperature. The best music is played here and there are live performances. The drinks are also legendary.
Lullanight City: The second largest city to date it started out as a small town and grew into a bustling metropolis that rivals Abbeyveil and perhaps that is why it strikes fear into the citizens of Abbeyveils hearts. Lullanight was found by the a mutant a bold female kicked out from Abbeyveil at the tender age of 13. Angry about the mistreatment of mutants Lulla forsook her family last name and decided to call herself Night as that is when she traveled so as to avoid mutant oppressors, while it is unknown how she found the place that would later become Lullanight all that is known is that after she settled Lulla seemed to attract other mutants soon a safe haven was born for mutants and more flocked. Lullanight is a relatively new city while it has been around nearly as long as Abbeyveil it has only recently caught the attention of the Veil family. Because the negative thoughts associated with mutants Lullanight is a considered a terrifying place and Abbeyveil is constantly alert of Lullanight while the two cities do hope to make diplomatic ties to disband any fears neither of them seem entirely eager. Despite this however Lullanight unlike Abbeyveil will welcome anyone into there city mutant or not so long as that person posses no threat to the city's citizens.
Night Mansion: While Lullanight does not operate on the idea of classes and quarters as Abbeyveil does it does have one thing in common with how its rulers operate. The descendents of Lulla Night are the ones who rule one after another but unlike the heirs of Abbeyveil those of Lullanight have no guards and are allowed to roam the city and outside should they so wish, the citizens of Lullanight are in this way familiarized with there next ruler and the future ruler is prepared to help his people.
Toxic Jungle: These large expanses of land are covered in wild unruly vegetation and strange creatures the animals and plants here have mutated to survive off of the toxins released through the plants pollen. These places and uninhabitable by humans, and the only humans who do dare tread here are either there for research, artifacts of the old cities, or happen to belong to groups of rogues who spend there time stealing from others for a living. These places are extremely dangerous not only because of there toxins but also because of the animals who have made that place there home, you can find anything from a wolf crossed with a dear to Yittin a strange creature that looks like an overgrown firefly crossed with a salamander. Little is known about Toxic Jungles other then they are dangerous and to avoided by all but the most experienced Wayward Vagabonds or ruin runners.
Under Garden: As poisonous and dangerous as the toxic jungles are up top should you find a small entrance that leads down you will find something quite the opposite. The Under Garden is literally the underneath of the the toxic jungle and is a large expanse of cave. Light from above seeps through in certain areas but generally the large expanse of cave produces its own light in the colorful rock it is made off. The soil here is smooth and like sand and the air and water is clean. plants grow here that are constantly purifying the air but even in all of its natural wonder there is no food to be found here so you'd have to risk it with a maybe not poisonous fruit from above.
Rogue Camp: About 5 years back Abbeyveil suffered a small uprising by a group of Low Class citizens. Angry and upset by the position in life, the Knights of course managed to chase off the rogue group and little has been heard of them sense though rumor has it they now inhabit the toxic jungle though no one is entirely sure how they have been surviving there. The rogue camp moves locations every season and the rotation or area will change should the rogues fear there own discovery.
Desert: Large expanses of land where towns, cities, forests, maybe even lakes once resided that have know been turned over into deserts although these stretches of empty land are no longer toxic they have no water and no vegetation except for the occasional Earthheart these spangly plants will only crops up out of the sand during toxic downpours where they leech up the water and toxins together and purify them. You can pull out an Earthheart and drink only the heart shaped apple roots where clean purified water resides but its wise to avoid the leaves as they thrive of off toxins. Toxic downpours are large waves of rain that can cover the desert during one of these you need more then just a mask to keep the toxins out of your system but you also need shelter if you don't want your skin to be burned. Another risk is sandstorms as these tend to kick up toxins buried in the sand. Although these places seem uninhabited there are sometimes small towns located in the desert and there are even strange animals that reside under the sand many of them are a delicacies!
Desert Outpost: An outpost located in the desert a ways away from the main city. It is here as a break stop for merchants and travelers alike. Knights on duty can be found here as well as merchants.
Ash Land: Ash lands are rare horrible crops of land where everything is covered in a layer of sooty gray bleakness. These places are chock-full of radiation and hold no life what so ever. These places have no wind and no toxic free air only those who wish to give up there lives dare to venture here and any artifacts recovered are unwanted for they are considered to hold bad luck. Many people theorize that the Ash Lands hold valuable secrets about the cataclysm but few scientists wish to risk there necks to venture there so generally these lands are left alone.
Ruins: These highly valuable and revered places are scattered all over and come in the form of towns to old citys that we once inhabited before the cataclysm. Objects, resources, and memorabilia from these places are highly valuable hence giving rise to Ruin Runners who go and find what they can in order to make a living. These places are not only dangerous because of wild animals but also because the ruins have a tendency to collapse.
Toxic Ruins: Ruins found in the toxic jungles these are rare and most of the time the vegetation has reclaimed them or the moisture has damaged any goods from here but there still ruins and therefor still valuable.
Desert Ruins: Ruins found in the desert these are often buried under sand or have completely disintegrated rare as they may be though dessert ruins offer the best goods and artifacts around.
Ashen Ruins: Ruins found in the ash lands, oddly enough most ruins are found here and few of them are wise to pilfer and even fewer people will even consider buying goods should they find out you got them here.
