Natalie was standing in a large room, one that she was all too familiar with. The room was the equipment room. It’s been quite a while since she has had a good fight. This was a rare occasion that she enjoyed. Her family had a meeting to discuss the current situation on the mutant protests outside the city gate, something that has become all too common, and her duty as per usual was to provide the guests with entertainment with a good fight.
Her opponents were going to be two Almijags mutants captured from the toxic jungle. They are these creatures that are about the size of a dog that look like a rabbits with a single horn coming out of their forehead that is about a foot and a half long. They have yellow fur with black spots. Although they look rather docile they are of a nasty territorial predator of the jungle said to be able to kill creatures many times their own size with a few stabs with their horn.
Natalie sighed when she saw what was going to be her armor. “At least there could be worse” She was supposed to wear a set of sandals that had leather straps; a pair of leather fingerless gloves that covered the palm and back of the hand. It had openings for fingers cut in sections the thumb had its own, the index finger had another that went up to the fist knuckle on the finger, and then the middle, ring and pinky finger all in one slot that rolled just behind the knuckle. The bracers that complemented the gloves had a beautiful design with the emblem of a rose carved into them. Inside each bracer was a holster for a trench knife, the handle of the knife complemented the design.
The main part of the armor was a leather dress that had metal studs in it. The dress went to right above the knees. Below the belt had a design that was similar to that of armor that was used in ancient Rome before the cataclysm, or at least that what she was told by her father who was a collector of ancient items. Above the belt was a leather corset made that had metal studs embedded in it with an inner lining of cotton. There were straps that went to the shoulder pads. The armor left a space right below her neck exposed along with her neck.
Now for weapons, Natalie walk up to a massive weapon rake that held a good collection of martial weapons. She was trained to use many weapons, from spears to bastard sword, to tomahawk; her weapon of choice however, was a pair of scimitars. She grabbed one in each hand and walked to the gate that would soon open to let her onto the arena where the fight would begin.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a contender that we all have grown to love; her speed and skill with blades are unmatched. I am honoured to present to you, The Shadow Noble, Natalie Veil.” The announcer paused waiting for the crowd to cheer for the blood that would be spilt. “Her opponents where abstracted from the darkest pits of the toxic jungle. Don’t let their appearance fool you, these creature are one of the most ferocious territorial predators of the jungle…..”
Natalie paid no attention to what the announcer said as she walked down a long dark hallway that lead to the arena. At the end of the hallway was a gate preventing access to the arena. She could see the two Almijags at the other end of the arena also being held back by a gate. She pondered for a moment wondering if she was going to be alone in this fight, every now and again she would be teamed up with someone to fight. She never really took notice on the announcement poster because to her it really didn’t matter much. You get too close to someone and they might just drop dead when you least expect it, that’s the way the world works.

Alex 'Marble' Hunt Alex moved through the streets gracefully he was in a rush though to most he would look like an ordinary person just trying to get where they were going. But under the collected surface the dark haired man was panicking. He had been invited by several people to attend the fight. And he could NOT refuse. He was after all owner of the marble bar and after the scandal the previous owner had left him with he needed every ones cooperation and the more powerful people he surrounded himself with the less likely he was to be suspected for smuggling people in and out of the city and helping fuel the rebellions that grew in the jungles and outside the city. As Alex's goal came into sight he slowed down and pulled out a mirror checking his appearance carefully. The person who had invited him here was an older gentlemen un-married and more then a little desperate to be seen with a young woman on his arm. Alex had dressed up as the mans trophy on more then one occasion and finally the man had trusted Alex enough to take him out somewhere important. Dressed in a slim fitting red dress with his lips painted just as red and his short black hair in a bun, Alex looked the part of a perfect little doll albeit a rather flat chested one... Luckily aside the obvious lack of certain feminine assets Alex's thin and rather feminine appearance filled in where he lacked. Walking in Alex quickly located his 'escort' and put on a pretty smile. While anyone from the bar would tell you Alex spoke like a sailor with a mouth just as vile while he was playing the part of a girl everything was too convince you. And while his accent remained still his speech lacked in vile swears and harshness sounding sweet. Really he did not mean to compliment himself too much but he WAS amazing. Giggling for the act of it all he allowed himself to be led to his seat where he was lucky enough to catch the announcer still introducing the contestants.

Natalie moved to the center of the arena as her enemies slit apart, slowly circling her waiting for an opening. Her sword where pointing down creating an “x” shape, she was also waiting. She has been in enough fight with animals to know that when they would strike. And for the longest time all she could hear was her own breathing along with her heart racing as if it was going to be her last fight, but hell, for all she knew it could very well be.
Dub, dub,
Dub, Dub,
Inhale,
Dub, dub
Dub, dub
Dub, Dub
Exhale,
Dub, Dub,
Dub, Dub,
Dub, Dub,
Inhale,
Dub-
Now!!!
If there are no errors that are made on the part of the stance and posture, bests usually would charge on the right before the inhale. When any living creature inhales it leaves an opening, not a big one, but an opening none the less. Almost instinctually form the years of fighting, Natalie knew that the charge also left also left an opening for the beasts.
She charged to the Almijag (#1) in front of her. She jumped at the same time as the as the jungle beast in front of her and could feel the Almijag (#2) that was behind slip underneath her feet attacking nothing but air. While in the air the she was heading head on with the first Amijag (#1). Natalie made a strike downward at an angle to knock the beast’s horn, quickly followed up with a downward left stab. The sword meet its mark and the first beasty took its last breath.
Natalie landed with the beat impaled on her left sword. Then suddenly she was making air time. She landed on her back knocking the air out of her.
She got to her feet- nope, fell down in an excruciating amount of pain. Her left leg was badly cut at the thigh from the attack. Natalie rolled onto her right leg, just in time to see the Almijag (#2) that knocked her into the air now charging her. The blow must have been hard enough for Natalie to loss her grip on her weapons cuz she was bar handed with an Almijag (#2) charging her.

Alex 'Marble' Hunt As Alex settled down among his peers he watched the fight going down in the arena. Behind him he heard people whispering about how unprofessional the owner was for having his daughter be the fighter, others thought it was a bold move. Alex personally thought the man was probably insane... Or wealthy and a mix of the two was bound to happen a good 80 percent of the time. As the fight progressed Alex watched with a mix of apprehension and worry there was no safety net for this girl and she lost her weapons. People began to boo they wanted more, 'of course they do... they were raised on the assumption that they deserve it.' seeing a person near by selling flowers and over-ripe fruits for the crowd to buy and shower on the entertainment as they wished Alex seized the opportunity. Masking his voice is feminine sweetness he smiled at the vendor and walked over. "I'll take a tomato dear." The vendor eyed Alex with a look of confusion, "Only the one mam?" Alex smiled. "I only need one." batting his eyes Alex pulled out a coin and handed it over taking the tomato. Turning back to the fight Alex aimed raised his arm pulled it back and whipped it forward the red fruit flew and smacked the animal right in the head. The stunned creature turned away if only for a second to try and find the source of the attack. And even if it was for just a moment... A moment was all someone needed. Now there would be a real show.

A strange thing happens when you fight, the entire world suddenly becomes a lot smaller. The only thing that exists are you, and your opponent(s). The movements that both you and your opponents take simple become on, like a deadly dance. So you can imagine the surprised look on the Almijag face as a tomato smashed him in the side of the head.
For Natalie however she the only thing that existed was her and her opponent and her opponent was distracted. She took the opening and bounced using her right leg. What followed happened so fast she would be surprised of the crowd actually managed to see it all happen. While bouncing Natalie drew a trench knife that was hidden in her left bracer using her right hand. Then as the Almijag return it's gaze to her she coiled her arm following the creatures horn, finally stabbing the creature in the right ear. She pulled back with all her strength that lead her loosing her balance and falling on her back and the predator's being pulled right off it's legs landing on it's back as well as it's throat was being cut open from ear to ear. The fight was over. The Almijag's throat was slit pouring a fountain of blood as it heart's pulse. The creature would bleed out in a less than a minute. The crowd was silent at first not knowing how to react then they went wild. Natalie knew the crowds love a blood bath. It could never be too gory, bloody and gruesome for the crowd. The more savage the death the better.
What most people don't actually realize is that most death matches generally last less than a minutes. With so much on the line the fighters want the match to be over as soon as possible. So it's difficult to get the crowd really pumped up about a fight unless it has a lot of fighters on each side or other ways of stretching out the fight. Sometimes in none lethal fights between two humans a match can last for a long time because both fighters are simple using their fists, but more often than even those fights end quickly.
Natalie was covered in blood, all over. She had blood in her eyes, in her mouth all over her clothing. Some of it her own, but most of it her opponents. She was on her back catching her breath, the medical team coming to take her out of the arena, she really couldn't move thanks to the giant cut on her leg. The announcer was taking, saying something, but all Natalie could think about, now that she had gotten the chance to catch her breath, was tomato. A tomato came flying out of the air as the beast was charging. Was it an accident on the part of the one that threw it and they where actually aiming for her? Nah, the shot would be too unlikely there was a better chance that someone in the crowd was trying to look out for her. Her dad? maybe. She took a moment as the medical team was helping her out to look up and search threw the crowd while waving. There was no way of telling who it might have been.
