Jaida was waking through the streets of Lullanight. She was heading back to the hospital having finish checking on some of the patients who were bed-ridden at their houses. All the walking around and taking care of her patients had really worn her out and she was ready to head home and check in on her mom. This morning she seem to be doing a bit better and Jaida was hoping there would be a even bigger improvement by the time she reached her house. Though first she had to go to the hospital and see if they still needed her help for the day, she knew that the hospital could get very busy sometimes and she wouldn't have been able to live with herself if she hadn't stop by and later found out that they had been under-staff, especially if it had been at the cost of one of the patients.
While she was walking she couldn't help but think about her last patient. A young boy no older then ten dying from some kind of disease that no knew how to treat. She couldn't help but prepare for the worst, and all she could do was help the child as best she could and hopefully ease his suffering.
"I once read that once upon a time healers had created treatment for what were once un-curable diseases" she muttered to herself. she knew that a lot of information had been lost in the Cataclysm and treatment for some illness had vanished with it. As of such diseases that had once seem to have completely vanish were now starting to re-surface and the healers just did not have the resources to be able to eliminate all of them. She liked to think that they were moving forward and curing a lot more people now but sometimes it just didn't feel like enough, especially when you saw a boy with so much potential slowly dying in his bed.
Soon enough Jaida reached the hospital and entered through the front doors and slowly made her way to the front desk. Hoping she would find out about some happier news that could lift her spirits.

Izabell Negem Izabell was someone who often visited the hospital seeing as how it was the very place she'd gotten adopted not to mention the place her adopted mother worked. So when she stopped by to visit her mother for a few weeks she always stopped by the hospital at least once per day. The staff knew her well and no one even questioned her when she walked in. And where there was a new person they quickly got use to seeing Iza's face. It had been 3 days sense Iza had returned home from the desert and like usual she was going for her daily visit to the hospital. As she entered she smiled to the desk clerk a woman she'd known sense she was quite young the two exchanged a brief smile before the clerk returned to talking to a young woman a little older then Iza was herself... Judging by her attire Iza concluded she worked there and made a mental note to say hello later.
Heading down the hall Iza quickly located the children's ward and walked in. Most of the kids knew her but there were a few new ones among them for example was a young boy who did not seem to be handling whatever he had to well. Iza had already met his parents after her mother invited them over. Almost as soon as Iza walked in had she been tackled with hugs, many of the kids calling her big sister and Iza was of course more then happy to oblige lifting them up above her head before finally sitting down on a chair so that she could face them all. The children's ward consisted of course of private rooms for all the kids and then one large room where they could play and where Iza could come to tell them all stories. Now that she was seated Iza lifted up her robes to the ankle on both her prosthetic legs. Once she was done that she crossed her legs and grinned, showing off her two prosthetic's always got the kids attention and she did not feel in anyway judged by the children unlike how she would with adults. "Now, are you guys ready for today's tale?" The kids nodded even the older ones. "Good, today I will be telling you about the time my bird fluffin-" At the mention of his name her bird came forward and jumped into her lap. "Was eaten by a river monster and I had to track and save him using only a bag of tea, a rope, and my wit." The kids looked at each other at disbelief and Iza acted offended. "You don't believe me??? FOR SHAME!" She grinned and begun her tale within minutes laughter and gasps were heard from the room as Iza spun her tale.

Jaida coudn't help but glance at the girl who had just exchange a smile with the desk clerk. She wondered if maybe she was visiting a sick family member or friend maybe? Judging by the colour of her skin she looked as if she came from the dessert like herself. She coudn't help but feel symapthic towards the girl. The desk clerk, having notice Jaida glance towards the girl, spoke up and said: "that is Izabell Negem, if you were wondering, her mother works here and she comes and visits everyday when she comes into the city, if you see her you should definitly say hi, she is a common face around here. As for actual work, do you think you could quickly check-up on these couple of people and then you are free to go home."
"thank you" Jaida replied as she took the folder "i'll be sure to remember that if i see her in the halls." In her head she coudn't help but sigh in relief that there wasn't another person who was going through a physical or emotional pain. there was already too much saddness here already
Jaida quickly got through all her paitents who were all doing fine and was getting ready to go home. As she passed the children ward she heard the laughter and gasp from the children inside and coudn't help but peak inside. There she saw that girl -Izabell wasn't it?- telling a story to all the children. Never having been able to pass up a good story she went and sat behind the children and start to listen to the story as well.

Izabell Negem Izabell was too wrapped up in her tale to notice the girl walk in and so she continued to talk her face alight with emotions and her hands moving wildly to explain. "Finally! I tracked down the river beast, his looming shadow in the water I could only hope Fluffin was not digested yet. But how would I get him to return to my fat little bird?" Iza paused for dramatic effect. "There was only one thing I could do, I pulled out the rope in my bag and very carefully when I knew the beast was distracted looped it around its tail and PULLED! The beast roared and I threw into its mouth a bag of tea leaves!" The kids gasped. "Well the beast did not fancy such bitter leaves and so he heaved and he huffed and he spit it all out, the tea and my bird... And oddly enough I think a radio too?"The kids giggled. "As I scooped down to pick up my bird the beast angrily attacked my legs! Poor beast looked confused when the part below the knee came off!" Iza tapped her prosthetic legs letting the metal they were made from show. "A few weeks later with the help of a nice pilot I was home in Lullanight with a now featherless fat bird-Trust me he looks much better now that they have grown back- and two knew bottom parts to my legs... And that kids is why you never get a fat bird with a tendency to anger river monsters." The kids laughed and crowded around her many asking to touch and see her legs which she happily let them do and a few petting her fat bird who also enjoyed the attention.
A nurse came in soon after and herded the kids away and back to the rooms, much to there disappointment. As Iza hugged the last few ones and playfully messed up there hair she stood lifting Fluffin and depositing the spoiled bird onto her shoulder. Iza turned to leave when she noticed the red headed woman from before, immediately she realized the girl must have heard her story and Iza's cheeks flushed a dark shade of red as she nervously smiled. "Umm, hello there... Your the nurse from earlier at the desk... Ummm, your new I guess so..." Iza shifted she wasn't use to grown ups listening to her tales and catching her in a moment when she wasn't acting like a super composed mature young lady. "I should introduce myself... My name is Izabell... Izabell Negem... My adopted mother works here and ummm you are?" Iza stuck out her hand as if to let the woman shake it then she flushed further red and took it back. "Ah. I've always been horrid with introductions... More so when I know the persons just seen me acting like such a kid... I'm not like that all the time I swear!" But the more Iza spoke the redder her cheeks got until the strange contrast of her tan skin, silver white hair, and red cheeks was nearly a hilarious sight to bear. "Umm... You should just... Introduce yourself... Before I make this worse."

As Izabell told her story Jaida couldn't help but become captivated by the story and laugh and gasp in all of the same places as the children. When the story was finished and the kids were being brought back to their room she couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness run through her, being told stories always lifted her spirits when she was down and she hadn't heard a good story in quite a while, having been so busy working. She was in such a deep thought that she didn't notice right away that Izabell had came up to her and started to introduce herself. "oh.... I'm sorry.... Hi, I'm Jaida Talli Meyer, I've been working here for a couple months after my mom got sick while we traveling in the desert... The desk clerk told me about you, said that your mom works here and that you come here when you are in the city.... Of gezz, I hope that didn't sound creppy or anything... I'm sorry... I just notice you when you passed by the front desk. Your story was amazing by the way! It was amazing how well you captivated the audience, you're a very good storyteller! I hope this dosen't come out as unprofessional...."
She offer out her own hand for an handshake hoping it would lessen the akwardness of the situation but also worrying that it would make it worse.

Marano was walking down the streets, with a huge bag of chocolates in her arms. This was one of the upsides with having really long arms, you can carry big stuff. She was walking to the hospital where there was sick children, so she was going to bring them chocolate. She didn't like children sick and un-happy with being sick, so she wanted to bring a smile to their faces. Walking into the hospital and to the front desk, instantly being recognized she almost dropped the bag. Before the lady behind the desk said anything she just had to ask "where are the sick children? I have a surprise for them". The lady smiled, after getting directions she walked down halls and to their room. Peeking inside, she knew there was private rooms, looking around she saw some kids playing with smiles on their faces. Getting there after the story, seeing two older girls talking to each other. One of them had stunning hair and eyes, the other girl was pretty as well, noticing their tans.
Hesitantly walking into the room, over to them. "Excuse me, sorry to intrude, but may I ask for your help for a quick moment" looking at both of them. Biting her lower lip slightly before continuing "but I have a bag of chocolate here, I wish to give it to the kids, will you help me hand it out?". Shifting from foot to foot, the bag was truly heavy, so she set it down at her feet. Making sure no one could see inside, rubbing both her arms. Looking up, the girl with silver hair her cheeks looked so red, she just noticed Fluffin. A bird, she had never been so close to a bird. Smiling slightly, wondering if these two would recognize the heir to Lullanight, but she should introduce herself either way. "Oh heavens, where are my manners, I Marano, Night" curtsying. "I truly hope I wasn't interrupting something important".

Izabell Negem Iza awkwardly shook Jaida's hand. "Ah its alright I'm friends with all the nurses so you can imagine that I always make them break out of a professional at some point." Iza folded her hand back into her long sleeves when yet another woman came in. Iza blinked not being familiar with the young woman. "The only thing your interrupting is my making a fool of myself in front of someone..." Iza smiled still somewhat embarrassed by her awkward introduction. "And... Well I have nothing much to do today so of course I can help Miss Night... Night..." Iza froze and squinted at the ceiling in concentration her bird puffing up his feathers as he cleaned them carefree as any a bird would be. "Aha!" Iza snapped her fingers. "Your the Lullanight heir... THATS why your names familiar. Pff. That would have bothered me all day had I not figure it out." Fluffin tweeted happily obviously delighted by his owners enthusiasm. "Ah... Well anyway names whatever the hell else aside, you asked for help and I already agreed to give it so what can I do for you?" Iza reached over to smooth over her birds feathers as she listened...

Jaida smiled as the two of them shaked hands, hoping this could be the start of a happy friendship; as long as she did not make a fool of herself before then. Jaida then turned and looked as another lady had joined their conversation, she felt even more embarressed at yet another person catching her so akward and unprofessional. She did not recognize the women until Izabell mentioned that she was the Lullanight heir; she reconginze that title from a book she had once read. Once Izabell had finished talking she added a bit to the conversation herself: "I would love to help out, Oh! My name is Jaida Meyer by the way" She did a half-courtsey while offering out her hand and suddnely realizing how stupid she probably looked quickly tried to straighten herself out. "sorry" she quietly said. She wondered why she always had to be so socially akward around people.

Morano looked at both the girls, smiling, "well I guess an interruption then would be welcomed" laughing slightly. Noticing that Jaida looked up at the ceiling, jumping slightly when she had suddenly said aha. Putting a hand to her chest "oh heavens you scared me", knowing that she should have expected it anyways. Looking at the girl with red hair, she curtsied a bit clumsily and seemed nervous. Sighing slightly she smiled "you do not have to be so formal, hehe it's nice to meet you, I am just here to spread smiles to people. Who need to be smiling more then they are, so I saved up and bought chocolates. So if you can, please just grab some and hand it out to children. I will go to some rooms and give some to the children there" smiling more, really glad to have help. Leaning slightly opening the bag, taking half an armful of chocolate. "Whatever is left you two can keep, I don't want all of it, you can sell it or eat it, whichever you want to" walking to the specialized rooms she would walk in. Say hi, ask how they were feeling, leave a couple chocolates on the side table.
Glad to see them smile and say thank you, she loved knowing that she made someones day. Hugging each child, wishing they would all get better, knowing that she was being naive. There was nothing wrong with that though, still having some chocolates left in her arms she went back to the main playroom. To see what was going on.

Izabell Negem Iza smiled. "Chocolate is a rare commodity so I will not be taking them rather if there are extra give to the staff...They deserve it more then I do." Izabell picked up a bag and then departed going to each room. The kids recognized her immediately and were more then a little confused but when they saw the chocolate they were quick to forget there questions and jump right in. Iza spoke to each one individually and she continued this until she was done she then went to the front desk and began to chat with the woman there. They soon got off topic from chocolate to matters concerning tea and herbs and other things Iza traded. "As you know I'm always collecting new herbs when I can and new things to make tea... I discovered a lovely root probably a mutant form of something that use to be ginseng... Very useful for treating burns." The woman behind the desk was as usual ecstatic to hear about any new thing Iza found so they continued to chat while Iza waited for the other two to be done there chocolate rounds after all it was rude to leave without saying goodbye yes?

Jaida silently waited as the other two ladies garb some chocolate to give to the children and then took some to give out herself. Since she had been working here for long enough she knew the children well enough to know where they would be around this time of day and was sure to find any of the children that the other two may have missed. Most of the children trusted her enough that they would talk to her about anything going in their lives and their health. It was nice to see them smile as they ate the chocolate, it lifted her spirits to see them happy. She quickly ran out of chocolate and headed back to the main playroom, not knowing exactly where the other two ladies would be but she figured that was a good place to start.

Merano looked at the girl named Iza "okay, good idea". Once she went back to the main room she gave some chocolate to the children there. Listening to them smile and laugh and say thank you she smiled even more. Glad that she was able to give the kids smiles. Wishing they were all better still, but giving them smiles was a good start. Putting the rest of the chocolate in the bag she tied it up again. When the other girl Jaida came back she bowed her head "thank you very much for your help". Walking out of the room to the desk where she heard Iza talking to the girl, she smiled and walked over. Hearing something about a root, wondering what they were talking about. "Thank you Iza for your help today" smiling brightly, putting the rest of the chocolates on the counter, looking at the girl behind it "could you perhaps give these out to the staff". Blushing slightly, she did not usually like asking people for help, but she did not want to miss anyone by accident. Looking at Iza "you were talking about a root right? and about it treating burns, that's very cool". Smiling, hugging herself slightly, she was shy, but she never knew when she would see her again, perhaps she might invite her to the mansion if she wanted, for dinner. She knew a servant there who had burned her hands, so if the root was very useful then she could perhaps buy some.

Izabell Negem Izabell turned to look at Lullanight's heir and smiled. "Yes, as you may have been able to tell I am a Wayward Vagabond I am a merchant by trade and I prefer to do my dealings with gems, teas, and other more rare to get things I of course offer the normal services though such as masks to prevent toxic poisoning and I am also well versed on the tricks of the trade to deal with the desert... Because my mother works here I try and find new helpful herbs and things for the hospital." Iza smiled and reached inside one of her two large sleeves so she pull out the strange root. "These roots I found grow in the shallow part of the river dividing the desert and the toxic jungles... Depending on what you do to them they have many uses." Iza pointed to the one end of the root where it was still green. "In the wild a green tube comes from this part the tube of the plant is excellent for restoring energy and can be put into tea or chopped up and served various ways I have a bag of the tea if you'd like... Ah but anyway the tube part sticks out from the water while the root imbeds itself in the bank side of the river underwater... The root is full of a juice that I found helps with burns... I was telling our lovely hospital secretary so that she can inform the others and I can try and get more on my next trip out."

Jaida smiled when she spotted Marano "your most welcome, it lifted my spirit's to see the smiles on the children faces." She followed Merano out to the front desk seeing as that was the direction she had intended to go before she had become distracted. Upon hearing Iza talking about the root she decide to add on to the conversation. "I think I've seen a root similar to that from when I was traveling with my mom. Though i don't remember it being able to heal burns just that it was good to have in a tea when you are feeling tired. I feel as if i have missed so much of what is happening in the world since I've been in Lullanight." Jaida sighed "as much as I love being here, nothing can compare to being able to wonder around the dessert discovering new things and learning about the experiences of other travelers that you meet up along that way. Though I'm sure everybody here at the hospital will be very grateful for what you have found. It will definitely be put to good use here."

Merano looked at Iza "that is pretty nice, both that you get to see outside these walls, and that you come back to visit your mother". Smiling, she was a very nice woman, "that is very kind of you". Looking at Jaida as she joined them. When she pulled the root out, her eyes were glued to the root. It intrigued her "wow, you really know a lot" blushing slightly, afraid to ask, she really wanted to help her servant. She had told her to stay inside while she went out because she did not want her friend hurt. Looking at both of them, so they both have seen the world, she hasn't yet, only from pictures. Even though her family was lenient about where she went, they did not want her outside the walls though. "You both are amazing, Izabell, umm do you think, if I pay you" looking down slightly, fidgeting a bit "do you think you can come back to my mansion and show me how to use it? Someone important to me burnt her hands. So I was wondering if you would help". Eyes widening slightly "oh Jaida you can come to if you like" looking at Jaida "I would like you to show me how to make it into that tea". Crossing her arms behind her back shyly. "If either of you want to anyways". She was not going to force their help this time either.
